Greg Swerdan joined Arizona State University as a student in the Spring 2020 semester. His interest in studying wireless technologies made the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering a natural choice. Greg attends the Tempe campus, which he refers to as “beautiful” and where he is pursuing a graduate degree in electrical engineering.

He is employed as an RF engineer at Comtech Satellite Network Technologies, where he assists in the research and development of next-generation satellite modems and other advanced communication technologies. Previously, Greg worked with numerous startup companies, and he has been involved in the design of several commercial prototypes and pieces of software. He finds the most rewarding aspect of his work to be giving back to the community and working with younger students.

Greg’s advice for students:
“Use all the resources available to you. Join a club, explore the Sun Devil Fitness Complex and attend seminars you’re interested in. There are also tutoring centers, review sessions and office hours to help keep you on track in class. There are a lot of opportunities for students who seek them.”
