As an international transfer student at the top of her class, Xinyi Ma was looking for an electrical engineering program that would challenge her academically. Arizona State University’s strong EE curriculum, along with its world-renown faculty and extracurricular-activities fits that bill. Ma came to the desert in 2020 and continues to excel in her studies. Ma is a high-energy and enthusiastic electrical engineering student whose love of her major drives her to take a full load of classes year-round. She also finds time to volunteer with Global Launch, helping other non-native English speakers master their world around them. Looking ahead, Ma hopes that a master’s degree is in her future.
