AI and machine learning

Artificial intelligence, or AI, and its subset machine learning research focuses on giving computers the ability to “think.” Work in this rapidly growing field programs computers to use algorithms to accomplish tasks without human input for an array of applications such as cybersecurity, writing, art, autonomous vehicles and more. Work ASU faculty have conducted in this area includes a collaboration with Israel for energy grid cybersecurity and predicting characteristics of future pandemics.
