The electrical engineering PhD program: Turning curiosity into engineering expertise

Students in our electrical engineering doctoral degree program work with world-renowned faculty to design and conduct independent electrical engineering research that makes an original contribution to the field. Throughout their studies, students take courses that support their research and prepare them for success in industry or academia after graduation.

Some examples of past electrical engineering doctoral research students conducted include work in revolutionary power grid situational awareness technology, award-winning flexible medical electronics and creating realistic smell in virtual reality.
