The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering’s Geometric Media Lab team won a Best Paper Award at the 2023 IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition in Vancouver, Canada. The winning team included Pavan Turaga, professor of electrical engineering and director of the School of Arts, Media and Engineering, part of the Fulton Schools; doctoral candidate Rajhans Singh; and postdoctoral researcher Ankita Shukla. The researchers received recognition for their paper about new ways to improve shape awareness in machine learning models for image generation.
