Aditi Shrestha

Aditi Shrestha is an electrical engineering student at Arizona State University and Barrett, The Honors College. Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, her passion for physics and interest in math led her directly into engineering. She initially started her academic journey in mechanical engineering in the spring of 2023. She transitioned to electrical engineering in the fall of 2023 after feeling more drawn toward circuit design and the semiconductor industry.

Aditi enjoys staying busy and is always seeking out new opportunities, leading her to take on various roles at ASU. In addition to serving as an electrical engineering student ambassador, she is involved in the Grand Challenges Scholars Program, Fulton Ambassadors, Society of Women Engineers, Sun Devil Satellite Lab, Hooked Hearts ASU and the Nepali Students Association.

Alongside her involvement in these organizations, Aditi serves as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Digital Design Fundamentals and an Honors Teaching Assistant for The Human Event. She also works part-time at ASU’s Knowledge Enterprise in research operations and award management.

Outside of academics, Aditi finds creativity and relaxation in crocheting, a hobby she has enjoyed for over five years. Through crocheting, she has not only found a sense of peace and accomplishment but also discovered a way to turn stress into art.

Aditi’s advice for students:

“Don’t be afraid to try new things and step outside your comfort zone; college is the perfect time to explore. Embrace the opportunities that come your way, even if they seem daunting at first. Equally important, make time for things you love. Whether it’s a hobby, a sport, spending time with friends, or simply taking a break, having an activity to unwind and de-stress really helps you maintain balance.”
