EV Mandeville

EV Mandeville was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She is an electrical engineering major and enrolled in Accelerated Master’s degree program at ASU. In middle school she was exposed to circuits and from then on out she knew she wanted to be an electrical engineer. Moving completely away from everything she’d ever known was hard, yet rewarding. She can now say she has been involved in many different things.

EV works as an undergraduate researcher for a DOW sponsored program called Scalable Asymmetric Lifestyle Engagement, or SCALE, working with transistors and other microelectronics. Through this program she had the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. for a related convention during the school year. EV is also a member of Sun Devil Motorsports working as part of the data acquisition team, helping to build ways to collect data from ASU’s race car.

EV has many other interests including tennis, Formula 1, going to the gym and reading. 

EV’s advice for students:

“Don’t take for granted how helpful office hours can be. Relationships with professors may become one of the most rewarding parts of your college experience as well as a way to further your career in the future. Both my club and my research are direct results of my relationship with my professors that would have never happened otherwise. Doing these has allowed me to gain once in a lifetime experiences and rare opportunities!”
