How to become graduate program faculty
The purpose of this page is to inform you what the Graduate Program Faculty do and how to apply to become part of the Graduate Program Faculty for Electrical Engineering programs.
The Graduate Program Faculty are the faculty members of ASU that are approved to be listed as a Chair for doctoral level students. Every program has their own Graduate Program Faculty, and it is possible to be part of the Graduate Program Faculty for multiple programs. Once approved, your name will appear on the Graduate College list that lists all of the faculty members that are approved to be listed as a Chair for a doctoral level student in Electrical Engineering. Doctoral level students and applicants can search through that page to see which faculty members are approved, and might reach out to you with research proposals.
Instructions for ECEE Faculty
If you are a member of the ECEE Faculty, please check the Graduate College Graduate Faculty list to ensure that you are on this list. This is the official list from Graduate College that students refer to and we want to make sure that your information is correct. If you are not on the list, please email the Graduate Program Chair for Electrical Engineering programs (Joseph Palais at Joseph.Palais@asu.edu). He will notify Graduate College and the correction will be made.
Instructions for faculty outside of ECEE
If you are not a member of the ECEE faculty and would like to apply for the Electrical Engineering graduate program faculty, complete this form (Graduate Faculty and Endorse to Chair Rules). Send the completed form along with your CV to the Graduate Program Chair for Electrical Engineering programs, Joseph Palais, at Joseph.Palais@asu.edu. Once you are approved, follow the additional instructions in the form.
