Renewable energy, photovoltaics, photonics and optoelectronics

The field of renewable energy, photovoltaics, photonics and optoelectronics includes devices that create or make use of light for a variety of purposes. The area includes solar technology for power generation, lasers and more. Examples of research conducted at ASU in this area include investigating commercialization of perovskite solar technology and improving infrared imaging technology.
